Participation in Different Shooting Disciplines:

To use a handgun in the Northern Territory, other than on a gazetted "Open Day" at a Club, you need to hold a current (Category H) permit to shoot under supervision, a Category H Sport Shooters License (over 18) , a Firearms Club Juniors Permit (10yo to 12yo) or Firearms Club Juniors Licence (12yo to 18yo). Open Days are advertised, and Visitors wishing to shoot under supervision can complete a basic "stat dec" and shoot on the day. Category A & B firearms can be used under the DIRECT supervision of a correctly licenced firearms owner.

The Club and Club Members openly encourage visitors on open days, and have firearms and ammunition for use.
